Bird Observatory

The site commands a breathtaking panoramic view across the Olonne marshes. With more than 180 species of birds spotted by our observatory, the marshes are one of the richest wetlands in the Vendée in terms of migratory birds. Must-sees: avocets, shelducks, egrets, birds of prey… On site: guided tour, binoculars, naturalist shop.
Guides in attendance with equipment (spyglasses) from 10 am to 5 pm : from 19th to 21th April, from 28th to 29th April, from 11st to 12th May, from 24th to 30th June. In July and August from 9.30 am to 6 pm. 3,50€/adult, 2€/7-17 years,9,50€/Pass Card. The ADEV proposes Nature Excursions (in French) in the Pays d’Olonne region (flora, insects, …) : 6€/adult, 3,50€/6-14 years. Booking compulsory at the tourist offices.
